Job Description:
Seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a busy, established practice in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical and interpersonal skills, with training or exposure to TAVR, ECMO, and wire skills being desirable.
Practice Details:
- Group Composition: 5 physician practice
- Surgical Volume: Over 1,000 cases annually
- Opportunities to support and grow the LVAD program, which holds Joint Commission Accreditation for Ventricular Assist Devices
- Pioneering procedures in beating heart surgery, robotic heart surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, ECMO, VAD, TAVR, and TEVAR
- Facilities include block time, 4 cardiovascular operating rooms, 1 hybrid room, and Da Vinci Xi/Si systems
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) first call with inpatient rounding and clinic support
- Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) with 24/7 intensivist support
Compensation & Benefits:
- Income Guarantee: 3-year guarantee with a first-year salary of $800,000, increasing to $825,000 in the second year, and $850,000 in the third year
- Sign-On Bonus: $75,000
- Insurance: Paid malpractice coverage
- Retirement: 403B match
