Float – Licensed Psychiatric Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse – Northern Region

Full-time with occasional Weekends/Holidays as needed

  • Travel needed to Roseville, Chico, Redding and other clinics in the North region**

As an Floater (Licensed Vocational Nurse, Licensed Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse), you are responsible for providing basic medical services to patients in an outpatient recovery environment; maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and providing for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with company policy and procedures; and for maintaining thorough documentation of patient records and medical files per state and federal regulations.

Pay Range:

  • $25/per hour, to $30/per hour, plus premium eligible

Requirements:

  • Active and current California nursing / technician license (includes Registered
  • Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Licensed Psychiatric Technician), along with current CPR and first aid certification.
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier. This role is required to drive for company purposes.
  • Regional travel up to 75% may be required to provide facility support.
  • Experience with triaging in emergency situations, assisting with medical emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement all aspects of receiving, storing, and dispensing controlled and noncontrolled substances.
  • Perform as required by applicable federal and state regulations daily reconciliation of controlled substances.
  • Maintain as required by applicable federal and state regulations accurate individual patient medication dosage sheets and urinalysis results.
  • Administer medication dosages and evaluate patients for side effects or reactions.
  • Document and sign entries in patient treatment records as required by applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and security at the dispensing window.
  • Administer as needed medication to patients who are locally hospitalized.
  • Provide appropriate documentation to Medical Director and / or Clinic Manager as required by applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure that forms are completed in their entirety.
  • Maintain patient charts and filing.
  • Ensure knowledge of, and observe, applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Orient new patients to the programs’ policies, rules, and procedures
  • Assist with intakes of new patients.
  • Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens as needed.
  • Prepare, stock, and maintain exam rooms and dispensary.
  • Complete as required internal and external reports / documents.
  • Collect patient fees as needed and record in Cash Fee Collection Log
  • Complete superbill for services provided to each patient.
  • Act as liaison with health agencies and the community
  • Appear in court on behalf of patients when necessary.
  • Monitor patient flow and crowd control in the clinic and outside areas.
  • Oversee the general safety and wellbeing of the patients in the clinic.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality as required by applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain clinic security procedures.
  • Report life-threatening situations concerning teammates, patients, and the immediate community.
  • Observe the collection of patients’ urine samples when needed.
  • Participate in or conduct case conferences when needed.
  • Collect research data as needed.
  • Attend team meetings and complete all training courses timely as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
