Shift Details: 8:00AM-4:30PM 3 Clinic Days and 2 Procedure days, M-F (on-call 7 days monthly)

Position Summary

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a Gastroenterologist (GI) to develop and build our specialty practice in Miami-Dade County area.

The JMG Associate Medical Director/ Gastroenterologist is responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the clinic/center of responsibility.

  • Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS patients.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Average daily volume approximately 18 patients during clinic days.
  • Average volume during procedure days 5-8.

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.

Experience

Generally requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.

License/Certification

  • Valid Florida Medical License.
  • DEA and board certification or eligible in GI are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
  • American Heart Association(AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS)for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
